All AEMS families are invited to participate in our first ever AEMS Hispanic Heritage Month Recipe Book. Please join us by sharing your favorite family recipe, sharing pictures/video of you making your dish (with or without your family), and sharing pictures/video of you enjoying your food! Don't forget to tell us why you love this dish and how it is part of your family traditions!

You can use this link to get to a template for the recipe collection. Simply make a copy of the slide that you want to use and add the information. 

Senora Grey and Senora Quezada will hold a "Help Sesh" on Wednesday, September 23rd from 11-12 for those of you with questions. A link to that Google Meet will be posted on the Hawks Spirit page on Wednesday morning.

Recipes are due by 10/16. If you don't have a favorite recipe, here is a link to some you might try...Hispanic Country Recipes We are looking forward to seeing all the yummy food you make and trying it ourselves!

Teen Suicide Prevention/Awareness Program

AEMS is fortunate to have a partnership with Riverside County Health, specifically with the Teen Suicide Prevention and Awareness Program (TSAPP).

On Wednesday, September 23 at 1:30, TSAPP will be hosting a small seminar for students who want to learn about and discuss the importance of emotional and mental health, self care, and how we can help others in times of crisis. If you are interested in participating in this meeting, please complete this Google Form so you can be emailed the code for the Meet.

All parents need to complete Student Data Confirmation where you will update contact information, complete the home survey, etc.

 ptimetime PrimeTime After School Program:
PrimeTime is the AEMS after school education program.  Upon a return to In Person learning PrimeTime will be open within the district's guidelines.

Meal Program Applications:
Click here to apply for the meal program.

If your student was on the Meal Program last school year, your household will need to reapply in order to remain on the Meal Program for the new school year. Make sure to apply before the 30 day grace period ends. If you did not qualify for the Meal Program last school year and circumstances have changed,  we encourage you to apply before the school year resumes.

Did you know? If you qualify for the Meal Program, also known as the National School Lunch Program, you may qualify for other programs such as Utility Assistance, SoCal Edison’s CARE, College Application Fee waivers, and SAT Fee Waivers.

Eligibility notifications will be mailed to families during the first week of school. If you have any questions or to request a paper application please call (951)352-6740.

What's Happening around RUSD?

Parent Technology Support

In an effort to provide additional tools and resources to our families, the Department of Innovation and Learner Engagement will begin hosting a series of weekly webinars to cover distance learning topics. Our first webinar is scheduled for Thursday, September 3rd from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and again from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.  During this time our presenters will share information for navigating the parent technology resources website, using the Clever portal, and best practices for monitoring their learner’s assignments in Google Classroom.
