Browning Professional Picture

Greetings Amelia Earhart Families:

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share with you some of my background.  My name is Dr. Sean Browning an I am honored to be returning to Earhart as Principal.  This year will be my twenty-sixth year in the Riverside Unified School District.  I began my career with RUSD as a social studies teacher at Riverside Poly High School.  After 11 years as a classroom teacher, I changed roles and served two years as the Dean of Students at Poly.  In 2013, I was hired as the Assistant Principal at Amelia Earhart Middle School and served the Earhart community in that role form 2013-2018.  I was asked to move to Central Middle School in 2018 where I served as the Assistant Principal there for five years.  In 2023, I was given the honor of returning to Amelia Earhart Middle School as Principal.  The last 26 years in RUSD have given me a depth of knowledge, a variety of experiences, and a passion for supporting students and helping them realize their limitless potential. I love serving at Amelia Earhart Middle School and enjoy working with the students, families, and community. 

Hello, Amelia Earhart Middle School students and families, 

My name is Kristin Hodge, and I am so excited to join the AEMS family as your Assistant Principal! 

The 2025-2026 school year is my 11th year in education, and my 10th year in RUSD. Prior to joining AEMS, I served Riverside Virtual School as Elementary and Secondary MTSS Liaison, Activities Director, EL Coordinator, and Administrative Designee. I have also served as 7th and 8th Grade English Teacher in the RUSD Virtual Program and at Chemawa Middle School, where I had the opportunity to oversee the Associated Student Body and Yearbook programs. I am deeply committed to ensuring that all students receive a high-quality education enhanced by extracurricular and leadership activities that empower students to positively impact our campus and community. I am passionate about collaborating with teachers to design rigorous, relevant learning experiences and supporting all students in developing the critical thinking and communication skills required for success in high school, college and career, and beyond. I am honored to work in partnership with you this year.

I look forward to meeting you, serving you, and connecting with you on campus and at school events and activities this year!
