Principal's Message

Dear Amelia Earhart Middle School Parents, Guardians, and Community,

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Amelia Earhart Middle School. I am honored to join this remarkable community and 

I look forward to building upon the strong foundation of student achievement and well-being that defines the Earhart experience.

With 26 years of dedicated service to the Riverside Unified School District, my journey in education has been defined by a deep commitment to every student's success. For the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of serving as an elementary principal, first leading the community at Castle View Elementary and most recently serving for five years as the principal of Jefferson Elementary. These years in elementary leadership have been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to witness firsthand the foundational growth of our students and the vital importance of strong school-community partnerships.

While my recent leadership has been at the elementary level, this transition to Amelia Earhart feels like a true homecoming. I am thrilled to return to my professional roots in middle school education. My teaching career began in the middle school classroom, where I served as a Spanish Language Arts and ELD teacher at Gage Middle School. During my tenure in secondary education, I also had the opportunity to serve as a Newcomer Coordinator and a Language Arts Coach. These roles shaped my understanding of the unique academic and social-emotional needs of middle school students as they navigate this critical stage of their development.

I am a firm believer in creating an environment where academic excellence meets student well-being. My approach to leadership is centered on understanding diverse perspectives to find the best path forward for all students and families. I am committed to ensuring that every family at Earhart feels supported, heard, and valued as a partner in their child’s education.

I look forward to meeting with our dedicated staff, getting to know our talented students, and connecting with all of you. I am eager to begin this new chapter together and to contribute to the continued success of the Earhart community.
